Pakistan covid19 ,2,700 cases confirmed and 40 deaths

SLAMABAD, Pakistan
Pakistan reported nine more fatalities from covid19 in the last 48 hours raising the death toll to 40, officials said Saturday.
According to the Health Ministry, the new deaths were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh provinces.
Meanwhile, the number of infected cases in the country have risen to 2,708.
A total of 126 patients have recovered, while 10 are in critical condition.
Since appearing in Wuhan, China, last December, the novel covid19 has spread to at least 181 countries and regions.
Data compiled by the U.S.-based Johns Hopkins University shows worldwide infections surging past 1 million, with more than 58,000 deaths. Over 226,000 people have recovered.

ہیومن رائٹس واچ نے خدشہ ظاہر کیا ہے کہ کورونا کی وجہ سے پاکستان میں ایک کروڑ پچاسی لاکھ افراد بے روزگار ہوسکتےہیں   حکومت پاکستان کو ایسے اقدامات کرنے چاہئیں کہ معاشی نقصان کی وجہ سے کم آمدنی والے طبقے کی صحت متاثر نہ ہو۔معاشی طور پر پسماندہ افراد کوویڈ19 سے متاثرہ سب سے خطرے سے دوچار ہیں، اور حکومت کو ان کے تحفظ کے لیے فوری  طور پر راستے تلاش کرنے چاہیں۔ پاکستان میں گارمنٹس انڈسٹری کے بارے میں ہیومن رائٹس واچ کی تحقیق سے پتہ چلا ہے کہ پاکستانی مزدور قوانین اور ضوابط ان کارکنوں کی مناسب حفاظت نہیں کرتے ہیں ، اور آئینی حفاظتی اقدامات بھی شاذ و نادر ہی نافذ ہیں۔زبانی معاہدوں کا مطلب ہے کہ زیادہ تر لوگوں کو بیماری کے دوران چھٹی اور اجرت نہیں ملے گی، معاشرتی تحفظ یا صحت انشورنس کی ادائیگی نہیں کی جاتی ہے جس کے سبب کاروبار بند ہونے اور وبائی امراض کے دوران مزدوروں کا نقصان ہوتا ہے۔مزدوری کے تحریری معاہدے، ناکافی قانونی تحفظات اور لیبر قوانین اور قواعد و ضوابط کا ناقص نفاذ اس بحران کے دوران مشکلات کو بڑھا سکتا ہے۔
